Part 7 of this tutorial helps you understand the Joomla 1.5 Menu System and how you can create a Menu linked to a Section, Category and Article.
Activate your Menu
Okay Phew, we are at the final stage. This may seem like a long process but eventually it will be second nature to you and you will have a Section, Category, Article, Menu Group Title and a Menu up and running in a couple minutes, if not less.
To activate our menu we need to go the top left hand side of the Administration page and Select
Extensions Module Manager
Once we are in the Module Manager page go to the dropdown lists I was talking about earlier and select – Select Type – dropdown list
Then select mod_mainmenu
All the Menu Modules will be listed on the left hand side of the Module Manager page.
I created a Menu Group Title called Filmmaking, you may have chosen a different name. Tick the box next to the name of the Menu you have created. Why because it isn’t activated. To confirm this, in the Enabled column you will notice the disabled icon
Next step on the top right hand side of the page click the Enable button.
This will Activate your Menu. A great applause for a job well done. Whella, you are ready to go.
